The Brighton Marathon is an iconic event that takes place annually in Brighton & Hove. It has been held since 2010 and attracts 18,000+ runners from all over the world.
The Brighton marathon course is a challenging 26.2-mile route that winds its way through the city, offering stunning views of the seafront and iconic landmarks.
The second largest and currently second quickest UK marathon event that trails through the city and along the seafront. Brighton Marathon also hosts a 10k run, 50km cycle ride and mini-mile races for young people.

The starting point for the Brighton Marathon in 2023 is Preston Park. The route takes a detour into Withdean before returning to London Road towards the city. After passing the Pavilion, the route leads uphill towards Kemptown and then follows the coastline to Ovingdean. Finally, the runners turn back for a stunning view of the city, continue along the promenade, pass through Hove and conclude the marathon at Hove Lawns.
